Your stick is now ready to be tested and enjoyed. Check the direction labels on the wires coming from the harness and then plug the two connectors into the appropriate jacks on the encoder board. If the rotary piece with the pins falls out, just put it back into the correct position. To do this, pull on the pins and rotate the central piece that holds them counterclockwise until they snap into the 4-way position (see photo above). You have to pinch two of the tabs at a time to get them off - it's a bit tricky but doable. The stock stick is likely glued onto the control panel, so you'll want to use a thin flat-head screwdriver to pry it up after removing the screws.Use a Philips screwdriver to remove the four screws holding the stock joystick onto the control panel.You can use a flat-head screwdriver to hold the stick in place if needed.
